about

‘Inquilab Zindabad’ is both the title and the inspiration for the latest IP offering. Inquilab Zindabad (Long Live The Revolution) is a term that has become synonymous with the freedom movement by Indian patriots against the British Raj in India. However, Inquilab is a concept that is engrained in the essence of Sikhi, the album explores this very essence.

Inspiring vocals, thunderous music and spine tingling lyrics return to take us on a historic and stirring journey. A journey that explores the spirit of revolution and reminds us that, although we quite rightly revere freedom warriors such as Bhai Bhagat Singh and Bhai Udham Singh or even revolutionaries such as Che Guevara and Nelson Mandela, there are other revolutionaries in our modern history who are scandalously forgotten. Traditional Panjabi Dhad, Sarangi and Kaveeshar fused with contemporary music, pay tribute to these forgotten heroes whose Inquilab and puritan way of life eclipsed the type displayed by Bhai Bhagat Singh and Che Guevara.
